KM Malta Airlines Limited, the newly set up airline of the Maltese Islands, is seeking to recruit a Skilled Labourer, within the Technical Operations department.

The position is accountable to the Licensed Engineer – Shift Leader for the accomplishment of any delegated work on the fleet of aircraft or facilities of KM Malta Airlines.

Technical Responsibilities

Responsible to support Licensed Technicians and Engineers during routine, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as directed by superiors.

• Carries out the routine movement of equipment and parts as required by Line Staff and the operation.
• Assist in jacking, towing, wheel and brake unit replacements and any other task assigned by the Shift In Charge.
• Assist Licensed technicians and Licensed Engineers in the performing of their duties.
• Cockpit cleaning, seat cover replacement and any other cleaning requirements that may arise out of the performance of maintenance.
• Shall be responsible for ensuring that work carried out as part of his duties is performed and recorded in a satisfactory manner.
• Clean Company Vehicles.
• Restock consumables at Company Vehicles.
• Organize and keep clean the hangar and the equipment.
• Support in the upkeeping of ground equipment and report any findings.
• Perform duties of transporting parts, tools and equipment between the various areas.
• Reporting any errors including those corrected by self, and contributing towards the successful implementation of the Company-wide Safety Management System.
• Other tasks/duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Working Conditions

Day, shift or staggered duty as required.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications

• Experience in the handling of Tools.
• Previous Experience is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated capability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
